Blue Atlas Management, LLC was founded in January, 2006 to provide consulting services to three distinct constituencies – investors, advisory firms and enterprise software companies.
Jim was with Morgan Stanley from 1978 to 1993, initially covering emerging growth companies. Later he picked up coverage of the software industry in 1983. Jim joined SoundView Technology Group as a partner in 1993 and left in 2004, following the firm’s sale by Charles Schwab, followed by a brief stint at Lazard Capital Markets. ![]() Jim Mendelson has covered more than 35 different software companies during the past 25 years. During his time on Wall Street, Jim was a highly ranked analyst by Institutional Investor, as well as by the Reuters and Greenwich Research polls. In addition to writing numerous reports, he has hosted a wide range of different investor oriented events from conferences, to bus tours, conference calls, as well as “Q&A” discussions on various topics. Jim has been a speaker at Gartner Group Conferences, as well as a number of “kick-off” meetings for software sales groups. Based on his experience and expertise, Jim has appeared on a number of occasions on CNBC and Bloomberg TV and radio. As part of his tenure on Wall Street, Jim has participated in numerous equity offerings as a lead or co-manager, including initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, private equity offerings and mergers and acquisitions. Jim has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and English from Bucknell University, and an MBA in Finance from New York University. |
